Mission Statement:

The Tuolumne and Mariposa County trail systems are a series of dedicated pedestrian and equestrian easements for use by the community members in the Lake Don Pedro Subdivision, as well as the public.  The mission of the Lake Don Pedro Trailblazers is to ensure the pedestrian and equestrian trails are properly marked and clear of debris.

Target Areas to accomplish this mission:

1. Education - working together to help educate the public about the dedicated easements in the subdivision. Working closely with local realtors and the counties to ensure that property owners are aware of the easements and better understand what the easements are.  News articles, Fliers, this web site are some plans of actions for getting the information out to the public in order to work together.

2. Effort- working closely with the two counties and the Lake Don Pedro Owners Association to help maintain the trail system by clearing the trails and marking them.  Working together in establishing funding for trail markers, picnic tables, trash cans for the parks, park benches and hitching posts throughout the subdivision.  The ultimate goal is to have a natural development of the trails and parks within the subdivision.

3. Enforcement - cooperation between the property owners and the efforts of the various volunteer groups is essential for successful improvements.  If a violation is noted and brought forth, timeliness is important to resolve it to a successful  close.  Procedures are in place to follow up on the violations.  It is our goal to see that these violations are addressed and resolved as quickly as possible.
